About Allison
Allison is an experienced leader in Michigan agriculture and agri-business industries. As an agronomist and agricultural consultant, she has focused her practice on environmental stewardship and regulatory compliance on livestock farms.
A native of Caledonia, MI, Allison has deep roots in MI agriculture. Growing up around the local co-op, showing animals in 4H and participating in FFA, paved the way for her to attend Michigan State University. With a B.S. in Crop and Soil Sciences, she served as a sales agronomist with Caledonia Farmers Elevator before launching an independent consulting practice in 2005.
In true “if you want something done, give it to a busy person'“ fashion, Allison was tapped to lead Michigan Allied Poultry Industries as Executive Director in 2016, while continuing her consulting practice. For nearly 7 years she led the organization, navigating complex policy, implementing programs, and representing Michigan poultry farmers on a state and national level.
Allison is a Certified Crop Advisor and a Certified CNMP Provider. Her attention to detail, thoughtful strategy and clear communication makes her an ideal partner for many farms across MI.
Allison and her husband, Brian, have four children and reside in Hamilton.
